Cabin Fever

I'm going to go nuts! I'm pretty pathetic. We are snowed in here in Vancouver Washington. We flew here on Thursday the 18th and went shopping on Friday and then Saturday it started to snow more. I was able to go to Fred Meyers and get a fountain drink and some gossip magazines. That was my last venture. We were suppose to go to a ward christmas party Saturday night- cancelled. And also Church was cancelled.

It's funny. It's been two weeks in a row that church has been cancelled for jon and me. Last week a pipe busted in our church in Utah. It's so different here when it comes to snow, because they don't have plows, they don't use salt on the roads, they use lava rock and according to my father-in-law it just makes cracks in your windshield. Then on top of that, there is tons of ice. So everyone please pray that I can get out of this house. I want to go to a cheap mexican restaurant called Muchas Gracias. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas.

Little Rockers

Look at these cool rockers! This was a couple of weeks ago. Jaxson is playing the drums (which he is pretty good from watching daddy). My niece, Abby is the beautiful singer- Sweet Home Alabama is her best song. My nephew, Ben is our awesome lead guitarist.

Jaxson has been doing some new things lately. Like he says "HI" and Da Da" and "whats that?" and "Cookie." Also he loves throwing anything and if he is anywhere by a stairway, stuff gets thrown down them. He loves to Jibber-Jabber. Especially while sitting on the stairs. Today he took my mom's phone and was walking around the house jabbering on it. I just wish I knew what he was wanting to say. The best is when he says something quietly and then laughs..... like he telling a joke. Kids are just too smart!! They grow up way too fast. Last year at this time I was barely getting him to smile and also to stop crying non stop.

Tis the Season

I can't believe it's already Christmas! In less than 3 weeks we are going up to Washington for 2 weeks to spend time with Jon's family. I have a lot to do in that time! I love all the Christmas lights I see. I can't wait to get ours up. If anyone has any good tips about putting up Christmas lights on the outside of the house- let me know.

I hope everyone is having a good holiday season. Please enjoy it, because it comes and goes too fast and then it's the long months of January and February. See ya later!

Can't wait for Halloween

Jon and I are soooooooo excited for Halloween. This was Jon and I two years ago. I was a vampire and Jon was a scary skeletor type of guy. Last year I was a few days shy of giving birth. I was a witch and Jon was a cowboy.
Jon and I are going to be pirates this year. Arrrrrrrrrr! Jon has already begun looking for next year's costumes. I don't know why we love Halloween. Maybe because we're still kids.
This isn't what Jaxson is going to be for Halloween. He is going to be a monkey. This was at Jon's sister's, Hillary. She was kind enough to see if any of her kid's costumes fit. Unfortunely he barely fit into this one and it was over a month ago.

I really wish this could have fit.

Peek-a-boo

This is one of Jaxson's favorite things to do. He goes in our bedroom and there is mirror on the closet door. At first he thought it was another person. Now he plays peek-a-boo and talks and kisses himself. It's pretty cute.

As Promised . . . here are the pictures.

We had our inspection yesturday, so we went to the house and took some pictures. There are a few things that need to be fixed if we are going to buy the house. The roof being one of them, but hopefully the sellers will agree to a few minor repairs and one major one.
Well, here are the pictures.

The front of our house.

The side yard.

The Back yard.

The Deck.

The sports Court.
The Kitchen, not the greatest, picture, but you get the idea.
Jaxson's nice PINK bedroom.
The ORANGE bathroom.
The front room.
The Basement.
They aren't the greatest pictures. But they give you a general idea.

Growing up WAY too FAST!!

Jaxson has done a lot of growing up today. We were eating dinner tonight and Jaxson just kept staring at what we were eating. Jaxson has been really funny about eating the pureed foods, and has been staring at Jenny and I as we eat. The other day we went to taco time and Jaxson has some of Jenny's Crisp Bean Burrito.
Tonight, Jenny decided that he might like a little taste of her sweet potatoe, so she gave him a little bite. He loved it. So I told her to shred her chicken and try to give him a little bit of her chicken. She did and he loved it as well. Usually Jaxson gags on bigger foods, but he didn't gag at all on the chicken or on the sweet potatoe.
After dinner, we were sitting around and Jaxson was standing at a toy that Jenny just bought him, and so Jenny went over by him and put her hands out and said, "come here" and Jaxson took his first step toward her.
So Jenny had me get on the floor and try it with her, at that point Jaxson took three or four steps toward me, so I ran and got the video camera and took the following video.

It's a lot of fun to watch him grow up, but he is doing everything way too fast. I can't believe it.

Some pics of Jaxson and me in Chicago

Boat ride through downtown Chicago

Jaxson liked the bridges, where cars were going over us

Mitch and Kelly (Friends and tour guides) Just a few days before their wedding.

Clark, Kelly, Mom, Mitch, and Jaxson at the Fields Museum

The view from the Sears tower. Big City.

We kept talking about Ferris Bueller's day off the whole time we were in Chicago and My Best Friends's Wedding. We only spent two days in Chicago and then we went to Southbend Indiana for Mitch and Kelly's wedding. It really was Clark's bestfriend's wedding. Ha!Ha! I am going to get more pictures as soon as I figure this blogging out.

Teething

Jaxson has been way grumpy the last few days and we suspected he was teething and then the other day you could start feeling a tooth, especially when you feed him food, he clamps on the spoon and you can tell there is more than his bottom two teeth.

Then today I decided I wanted to look at it. I should say them because there are 4 coming through. 4. So I have been giving him everything I can to make him feel better. Hopefully they'll all be through soon. Now Jaxson can have steak!!! ha, ha!!

Title: "Neighbors Growing Tired of Refinery Incidents"

Surprise, Surpise

So, yesterday Jon and I just got back from spending the day at Jon's grandma's house doing yard work and Jon's work picnic, when I got a knock at the door. My brother, Clark had just called and said he would be stopping by, so I automatically thought that it was him. But it wasn't. It was a beautiful news reporter from Channel 2 news. I was soooooo caught off guard, because I was just watching the olympics and Legally Blonde and letting Jaxson destroy the front room. She asked if she could interview me about the leak that happened that day at the refinery next to our house. So I said yes and ran in and told Jon. I hurried and put chapstick on and then went out.

Mind you that I had been pulling weeds and so my allergies were terrible. My hair was completely out of control from being in the wind and letting it air dry. So I was a little hesitant about doing the interview. Jon refused to come out with me. I can't even remember what I said. I was laughing so hard after they left. We called our families and had some good laughs. If you also want a good laugh, view this video.

The best part is, is when we went to watch it, Jon's all "it's not going to be on for a few minutes." IT WAS THE TOP NEWS STORY. We could not stop laughing. Especially when they said my name a billion times. I hope you got a good laugh like we did.
