The latest

Well for those of you who are wondering, Jenny did survive. We had a pretty good time up in Washington, we did get snowed in, which did put a damper on things, but we made the most of it. Most nights, we played cards with everyone and had a great time. Even with the one or two spats over the rules.
Our flight home was quite entertaining. On our way to Washington, we were in a pretty full plane. We ended up on a row of three. Two rows ahead of us there was a guy sitting by himself. So while we were taxing, I asked the guy if he wouldn't mind trading us when we got up in the air. He begrudgingly said yes. After a minute I thought, "wait a second why doesn't that guy move?" So I asked Jenny to ask the guy sitting by the window if he wouldn't mind moving up. She said, "well you said it loud enough that if he wanted to move up he would have said yes already." I said, "Just ask him, it is going to be easier for him to move than for us to switch," or something along those lines. So Jenny asked and the guy, all put out, moved. After he moved, Jenny said, "I can't believe you made me do that." I said, "I don't care I won't ever see that guy again in my entire life." Well I ate those words. He was on the flight home with us. We were sitting in the terminal, waiting for our plane to get there and up walks the same guy. Jenny and I just laughed hysterically.
Then right before we were supposed to board, I got Jaxson to fall asleep. I thought, "Oh good, He is asleep and hopefully he'll stay that way so the flight home will be a peaceful one." Well in an attempt to keep him asleep, Jenny carried all of our carry-on baggage onto the plane. Now, there was a lot of baggage because we didn't plan to well with the suitcases that we took up to Washington, because we weren't planning on getting a lot for Christmas. My mom and I had a discussion before we went up there and we deicded that it would be best if we didn't get a lot, so that we wouldn't have to pack it all home. Well I should know my mom better. We had to borrow luggage from my parents to get everything home, and everything just barely fit. (our bags were 49 and 50 lbs. each. By the way we loved everything we got.) Anyway, to get to the point, we had a lot of carry-on baggage as well. We had my computer bag, a duffle bag, Jenny's purse a video camera, Jaxson's stroller, Jaxson's diaper bag, and all of our coats. So with Jaxson in my arms and a couple of the coats, Jenny loaded up all of our carry-on baggage to get on the plane. As we go to board the plane, the lady at the desk picks up the microphone and says, staring down Jenny, "I would like to remind all of our passengers that they are allowed only one piece of carry-on baggage and a personal item per passenger." Nice . . .
Jenny and I have had a good laugh about that one.
Well our trip to Washington was great. It was good to see my family and to spend some time with them. We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!
